last night i hosted 4 czechs in my house.
3 of which i had never met before.
im only writing this because i think in its own small way it was one of the greatest expressions of community and the body of Christ that i have seen since i have been here.
they are from opava and were signed up to participate in the prayer room over night.
they were to take shifts through out the night, and were orginally planning to base themselves in the church.
however, the church was hosting its own event and couldnt house them, so my friend jirka asked if they could stay with me.
i live right in the center very close to the church.
anyway, it was just great.
not that we had some amazing conversations, or even spent that much time together (we were mostly sleeping)
and they mostly spoke czech and i mostly speak english.
but i was laying in my bed last night, just thinking how great it is that someone was willing to ask for a favor.
and what a blessing it was to offer some comfort to some people i didnt know and may never see again.
